Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College
Kerala has two prestigious government institutions dedicated to homoeopathic education and healthcare – Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram and Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode. Both colleges are known for their academic excellence, advanced research, and contribution to holistic healthcare in India.
Established in 1983, the Thiruvananthapuram college is one of the leading government homoeopathic colleges in South India. Similarly, the Kozhikode college, founded in 1976, is among the oldest and most reputed institutions of its kind. These colleges are affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur, recognized by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), New Delhi, and approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
Courses Offered
. B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) – 5.5 years (including 1-year internship)
. M.D. (Hom.) in various specializations
Eligibility Criteria
. 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English
. Minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
. NEET-UG qualification mandatory for BHMS admission
. For M.D. (Hom.), BHMS degree from a recognized university with entrance exam qualification
